The importance of following your dreams

Imagine knowing you've not got long left on Earth... You've lived a long life, but you never followed your passion. It gave you energy rather than diminishing it, but still you neglected it. You deemed it unfathomable for you to become a success in it, and it was easier to not think of it. But now as your days come to an end, you can't help but wonder how your life may have turned out had you followed that dream.

Maybe you feared what people would think about you, or you lacked confidence to pursue it. You can't even remember because both scenarios seem so insignificant now.

The only way to gain more confidence is to throw yourself in the deep end.

When you put your fears aside and follow your passion, you become happier and more fulfilled. You're no longer fighting that niggling feeling of cognitive dissonance.

If you don't know what your passion is, think hard about you wanted to do as a young child before rational thinking got it's claws into you. There's probably something there.

Regret is far scarier than failing, in my opinion. Maybe that's because I'm such a curious person, I hate not knowing. They say "Curiosity killed the cat"... But satisfaction brought it back.
